Devanagari and Roman — dual-script reading
Why Rahasyam presents sacred text in Devanagari and Roman, and how to study both without confusion.

Two doors, one text
Sacred speech in this library is meant to be approachable:
- Devanagari preserves the traditional visual form of the mantra or stotra.
- Roman helps learners pronounce and navigate until Devanagari is fluent.
Neither replaces a teacher for advanced or restricted material.
How we aim to format entries
[Devanagari line]
[Roman line]
[Optional short gloss]
Verse numbers and clear spacing will make patha and study easier on mobile (a dedicated reading app is planned).
Tips for learners
- Listen first when audio is available.
- Read Roman slowly; do not invent vowels.
- Move to Devanagari early — even a few lines a day.
- Prefer consistency (one transliteration style) over mixing systems casually.
